Brainstorm Concert for the Longest Day to benefit the Alzheimer's Association
Fathers Day; Sunday, June 21, 2015
NEEDED: MUSICIANS VOLUNTEERS DONORS SPONSORS
A group of volunteers is putting together a benefit concert to occur on Sunday, June 21st (Father's Day) at McKeldin Square in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. As part of the Alzheimer's Association's Longest Day event, the music will start at sunrise and continue until sundown. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted and folks can "vote" for their favorite act by making a donation.
Each act on the main stage will perform a 40-45 minute set and we will have a side stage with performers doing 15-20 minutes. We're looking for acts of all different genres, and we have 13 confirmed so far. We'd like to have 24 or 25 acts confirmed by May 21. Any help you can provide in securing performers who are willing to donate their time would be greatly appreciated!
WTMD has agreed to promote the event beginning 2 weeks out and we will have a banner at the location as well as promoting the event on our website and facebook page, etc. Their is also a fundraising website set up for the event and we will register any bands or performers on the site, which they can share with their fans on social media.
