Yes, it’s true, there’s sure to be a nip in the air - after all, this is “Frozen” Harbor, but from the perspective of contributing independent artists, Frozen Harbor is always warm and jovial, like one big, happy family reunion full of hugs and electrically-charged conversations. It’s not very often that musicians can steal away for a “busman’s holiday,” and when they have a good excuse, they take full advantage of the opportunity. This, in particular, is true of artists in our area - they support each other as unified comrades in arms, unconditionally. For young, up and coming artists, this familial relationship is invaluable in providing direction and mentorships. All throughout this weekend when not on stage, bands seize the chance to see friends, network, and forge new relationships for touring - and the ultimate truth is that if you happen to take a glimpse to the side-stage or out "front and center" during a band’s set, you’ll see that musicians are the biggest googly-eyed fans, snapping photos, and singing along enthusiastically to familiar lyrics. It’s funny, but also quite heartwarming, and contributes to the overall festive atmosphere.
Chris Furst, of Entertainment Consulting International (ECI) notes, "Power Plant Live! has been a proud partner to One Koast and Frozen Harbor Music Festival since its inception. It has been truly amazing to see so many talented bands and promoters come together to celebrate great original live music. It has also been a major economic contributor to downtown Baltimore during a time of year that the city really needs it as well. We look forward to supporting continued growth of Frozen Harbor for many years."
